THE ROLE OF STAPHYLCOCOCCUS AUREUS IN ATOPIC DERMATITIS

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is frequently complicated by infection with microbes such as Staphylococcus aureus , viruses and fungi. The current lecture will examine the immunologic features that predispose patients with AD to recurrent infection and the therapeutic strategies that can be used to manage patients that are prone is skin infection.
