Committed to Dermatology Research Galderma Canada is dedicated to dermatology research. The company supports the annual Galderma Canada Research Grant administered through the Canadian Dermatology Foundation. In addition to the CDF research Grant, In 1999 Galderma inaugurated the Galderma Canada – Benjamin Fisher Fellowship. In addition to Ontario, this research grant program has been extended to British Columbia and Quebec. The Galderma Canada Research Grant program will represent an annual investment of $ 150,000 dedicated to Canadian research in clinical dermatology. Product Quality and Innovation Among the products distributed by Galderma is PrDifferin® (0.1% adapalene) gel and cream indicated for use in acne and PrMetroGel® and PrMetroCream® for the treatment of rosacea. PrSolagé® topical solution (2% mequinol & 0.01% tretinoin) was recently launched and is indicated for the treatment of solar lentigines and related hyperpigmented lesions resulting from chronic sun exposure. Galderma also distributes over-the-counter products formulated for special needs, including the Cetaphil® family of gentle skin care products: Gentle Cleanser, Moisturizing Lotion and Cream, Cleansing Bar, Oily Skin Cleanser for acne-prone skin and the new Cetaphil Daily Facial moisturizer with SPF 15. Support for Canadian Health Care Professionals Galderma Canada places great value on education regularly sponsoring grand rounds, journal clubs and speakers programs as well as efforts to assist dermatology residents.
