Galderma Canada – Committed to the future of Dermatology

Created in 1981, Galderma is a joint venture between L'Oréal and Nestlé, with a sole focus in dermatology. Galderma Canada was established in 1989.

Mission Statement
Committed to the future of dermatology, Galderma offers innovative therapeutic solutions that improve the quality of life of dermatology patients.

Galderma Today
These are exciting times at Galderma Canada as we continue to deliver to our mission statement. Over the last decade we launched a new generation retinoid for acne, expanded the treatment for rosacea into three topical offerings, and complemented our prescription base with a full line of skin care products. Recently Galderma entered the psoriasis market with two innovative therapeutic solutions to improve treatment options. Galderma Canada is also very proud of the many patient education and support programs provided to improve the quality of life of dermatology patients. This including the Rosacea Awareness Program (established in 1995) and the MetroAction interactive, online program supporting rosacea management through patient counselling activities.

Supporting Canadian Dermatologists & Health Care Professionals
Listening to and working collaboratively with health care professionals is an integral part of Galderma Canada's philosophy. This approach is a key element in meeting the needs of practitioners and patients alike. As a company we are proud to support the Canadian Dermatology Association with various initiatives. The Galderma Canada Research Grant administered through the Canadian Dermatology Foundation, represents an important financial contribution aimed at stimulating research activities in Canada. Ongoing Continuing Health Education (CHE) and disease awareness programs form an integral part of our approach to the introduction of new treatment modalities. Galderma Canada participates actively in professional meetings, conferences and is the sole sponsor of Journal Watch for Dermatology. Galderma also carries out an increasing number of Clinical Trials in Canada.

Supporting Research and Manufacturing
Committed to the future of Dermatology means a commitment to drive the discovery and development of new molecules worldwide. This activity is carried out through three state-of-the art facilities located in France, Japan and the United States. Galderma also manufactures its current product portfolio in three plants, one of which is located in Baie d'Urfé, on the West Island of Montreal. Our Canadian operation is the largest one and is responsible for supporting product for the North American market.

Galderma Future
We have grown to become a significant force in dermatology in this country and are well positioned in our quest to be the leading pharmaceutical company dedicated to this speciality. In the future, Galderma Canada will add to its portfolio in the areas of pigmentary disorders and photodynamic therapy all the while working to improve solutions for acne, rosacea and psoriasis patients.
